Costs
This is to inform you of the costs to consider when budgeting for a Come and See short term mission trip. The minimum cost per person/week is $525.00 and it includes the following basic items.
Construction projects
$200.00 per person/week
For construction projects, each participant will pay minimally $200.00 for the cost of equipment, materials, supplies and supervision. This includes $50.00 per person for preparation and completion of the construction project.
Food
$120.00 per person/week
Food costs are minimally $18.00/person/day. Groceries and labor costs on average are $6.00/person/per meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In urban areas there can be restaurant meals out for approximately $25.00/person/per meal; this is not included in the minimum price.
Lodging
$100.00 per person/week
Lodging is at YPM base camp and facilities, churches and village homes, which are arranged. A hammock, custodial and other incidental costs are covered by this amount. Hotel accommodations are available at additional costs and are not included in the minimum price.
Transportation
$105.00 per person/week
Vehicles are available for groups, teams and families to use for their ground transportation; they include passenger vehicles and a cargo vehicle. This amount enables YPM to pay ownership fees, do regular maintenance and repairs, pay licenses and taxes. The cost of transportation, therefore, is $15.00/person/per day, and this price includes gasoline. Other transportation needs such as buses, taxi, boats and rental fees are not included and will have an additional cost.
Optional costs
Costs incurred on free days to visit ruins, sightsee, shop, go to beaches, water parks, and other recreational experiences, guides, highway tolls and/or additional gas for transportation will need to be budgeted and are not included in minimum costs.
Payment Schedule
Please make all final payments to Yucatan Peninsula Mission, Incorporated U.S.A. two weeks prior to arrival. We need to be paid by this date in order to make advance arrangements for your mission trip.
